Little Shop of Horrors

This season, our teen students will come together to produce the darkly hilarious cult classic Little Shop of Horrors. With over 70 hours of instruction, this production-based class offers older students the chance to strengthen their acting, vocal, and dancing skills while working on a fully staged musical that explores complex characters and storytelling.
About the Show
Little Shop of Horrors follows Seymour, a shy flower shop assistant who discovers a strange and powerful plant with a taste for blood. As Seymour’s fame grows, so does the plant’s appetite, and the consequences quickly spiral out of control. The show combines catchy rock-and-roll style music with moments of absurdity, humor, tragedy, and social commentary.
The program culminates in four performances for friends and family.
Please Note: This production contains more mature themes than our other offerings. Content includes:
- Depictions of death
- Inference of suicidal ideation
- References to trauma and abuse
- Gunshot sound effects
- Some strong language
We encourage families to use their best judgment and reach out if they have any questions or concerns about the material. Our team approaches these themes with care, always prioritizing the emotional safety and well-being of our students.
Every student is a valued part of the cast.
- Every single student receives a named character. No tree number three here.
- Each student gets their own individual bow moment to be celebrated onstage.
- Roles are never limited by a student’s size or gender identity.
- All registered students are part of the show. Auditions are only required for those who wish to be considered for roles with a large number of speaking lines or solos. We make the process fun and easy, and focus on placing students where they can shine.
