NEW! NBT Show Crew: Behind the Scenes Stage Training
Step into the magic of live theater from behind the curtain. In this hands-on class, students will learn the essential skills that bring productions to life. From operating a followspot light and running a sound board to applying stage makeup and speaking professionally over headset, participants will gain practical experience in multiple technical areas of theater.
Students will also learn how to move set pieces with precision, create a show prop, and explore the basics of microphoning actors. As part of their training, each participant will have the opportunity to serve as a member of the Show Crew for one or more of NBT’s Fall productions.
All Show Crew members will be proudly featured in the official show program and will receive an exclusive NBT Show Crew T-shirt to wear during performances.
Whether you’re interested in theater tech, behind the scenes of a show, or just want to try something new, this is your chance to be part of the magic where the real work happens.
Students in this class are not required to tech for an NBT show in order to take the class. They may simply enjoy it as a learning opportunity.
